How to Upload Video From an HTC Hero to Facebook

The HTC Hero features a 3.2-inch touch-screen display, five megapixel camera and Bluetooth connectivity. The phone runs the Google Android mobile operating system. You can transfer video from an HTC Hero to Facebook by connecting the phone to your computer as a USB storage device. Once connected, you can transfer video files from the phone's memory like any USB flash drive.

Things You'll Need

  • HTC Sync application

Instructions

1
Insert the USB cable included with the HTC Hero into the side slot on the phone. Insert the other end of the cable into an open USB port on your computer. A notifications panel will appear on your phone's screen.

2
Tap and hold the notifications panel on the screen. Drag your finger downward across the screen. Tap the "USB Connected" icon and then tap the "Mount" button on the screen.

3
Click "Start" and then click "My Computer." Look for your phone's USB drive icon in the list of available drives. Double-click this drive icon. Open the "Videos" folder located within the drive. Click and drag the video file from this folder to another location on your computer.

4
Open a Web browser. Visit the Facebook page at facebook.com. Enter your username and password and log in.

5
Click the "Video" under the "News Feed" headline on the Facebook page. Click the "Upload a Video" link. Click "Choose File" and then navigate to select the video you transferred from the phone. Click the "OK" button. Wait for the video to upload to Facebook's server. Click the "Share" button on the icon, and the video will be published on your Facebook profile.
