How to Unlock Zurg on PS3

Zurg is Buzz's biggest enemy in the "Toy Story" series, and the evil space emperor is a big part of the "Toy Story 3" video game for the Playstation 3 console. Even though you battle Zurg in multiple levels, it is hard to open him up and eventually use him as a player. Through the "Toy Box" mode you can make Zurg available and play as one of the "bad" toys.


Instructions

Enter the "Toy Box" mode of the game. This mode features multiple missions with multiple characters including Buzz, Woody and Mr. Potato Head. Choose your favorite character to complete missions.

Complete as many missions as possible. There is no direct way to open Zurg, but completing enough missions will lead to him opening up.

Save your "Toy Story 3" Toy Store money so you can pay for Zurg. The character costs 1,000, so make sure you have enough before he is unlocked.

Wait for the "Zurg Unlocked" message to appear on the screen. This usually occurs before the "Sunnyside Daycare" missions, but may take longer depending on what missions you choose.

Go to the Toy Store and purchase the "Zurg" character. Press "X" on the PS3 controller to confirm the purchase.

Enter the "Slinky's Ranch" zone. Pass by Slinky and enter the small building. Approach the Zurg costume and press the "Square" button on the controller. Your character will transform into Zurg


Alternate Method

Use a character to enter "Sunnyside Daycare." The best characters to use are Buzz Lightyear or Woody because they can easily climb high and look around the room.

Search around the room for Zurg's five body pieces. The pieces include his glow helmet, body, legs and cannon arm.

Collect each piece. As you collect each one, a "Zurg Body Part" countdown flashes on the screen. Once all five are collected, a confirmation appears on the screen.

Exit out of "Sunnyside Daycare" and enter the Toy Store. Now Zurg will be available for purchase.

Repeat step 6 from the first section to unlock Zurg. Use Zurg in missions and exploring to unlock his extras such as a convertible car and weapons.
