How to Get an iPod Touch to Load Music Onto an Xbox 360


The Xbox 360 video game console can do more than just play games; it also allows users to connect with friends, watch movies and TV shows and listen to music. The Xbox 360 is able to connect with and play songs from a portable media device, such as the iPod. Once you have connected your iPod to the console with a USB cable, you can play songs from either the Xbox 360 guide or the system's dashboard.

Playing Music from Xbox 360's Guide

Connect your iPod to the Xbox 360 with a USB cable. Press the "Xbox Guide" button in the middle of the controller or at the top of the Xbox remote control.

Open "Media," then choose "Media Library."

Choose "Portable Device" when asked for the music source. A list of songs on the iPod appears. Select one to begin playing it.

Power on the Xbox 360 with no disc in its tray. Use the controller to navigate to the "My Xbox" tab on the dashboard. Choose "Music Library."

Connect a USB cable to the iPod and connect the other end of the cable to the console.

Select the "Portable Device" option to access and select a song from the iPod.
