How to Fix an iPhone GPS

Unlike the GPS in your car, the one on your iPhone goes wherever you do. Since you have your iPhone with you all the time, you have your GPS with you as well. The iPhone is known as a user-friendly smart phone. But every now and then you might experience a glitch with your phone's GPS. These easy-to-follow steps should help resolve the problem.

Instructions

  1. Turn on your iPhone by pressing the button on the top-right, and open the main menu by pressing the button in the center of the bottom panel of the front of the phone.
  2. Look at the icons that appear on the screen. It is best if you familiarize yourself with what each icon does as soon as you get your phone.
  3. Press the icon for "Settings." The second choice in the settings list will say "Wi-Fi" or "Wi-Fi 2." Find the "On/Off" switch and turn it off. Go back to the "Settings" menu and find "Location Services." Make sure that is on.
  4. Go back to "Settings." Touch the "General" icon. Look at the list and find "Network." Press that line.
  5. Find where it says "Enable 3G." Turn it off and go back to the main menu and power down your phone.
  6. Go out of doors and power on your phone. Find the "Maps" icon on your menu. Press the "Locate" button and turn back on your "Wi-Fi" and "3G" buttons, if you use 3G. Your GPS should be working now.

Tips & Warnings

Use a case for carrying your iPhone so you do not scratch or mar it.

Make sure anything you do with your iPhone does not void the warranty.
