- Windows installation disk
- Insert the Windows installation disk into your hard drive and turn on or reboot the computer.
- Tap any key constantly as the computer boots up to load into the Windows installation screen.
- Press "Enter" to begin the installation process.
- Delete the current hard drive partition using the on-screen partition manager by pressing the "D" key. Create a new partition in its place, and assign Windows to be installed on it by highlighting it with the arrow keys and pressing "Enter."
- Format the partition using the NTFS file system, which is a method for arranging the files on a hard drive.
- Follow the remainder of the on-screen instructions to complete the installation, including entry of your product ID and the correct date and time.
